My Twelfth Anthology Publication – Stolen by Easton Tales Publishing
I’m over the moon to share that Stolen: A Horror Anthology by Easton Tales Publishing is officially out in the world. My new adult gothic horror, “The Crimson Ring,” is in this book.

You can grab your copy of Stolen through Amazon.
The Submission Call
When I saw the submission call for Stolen, I was totally hooked. The theme for this anthology is super unique. Still, no matter how hard I tried to come up with an idea, I couldn’t think of anything. This was a huge problem because the deadline was only a few weeks away.
But I kept thinking, and thinking, and thinking.
And finally…
I got an idea!
But by the time the light bulb lit up in my brain, I had less than a week before the deadline.
Did that stop me?
No, dear reader, it did not!
A Peek Into “The Crimson Ring”
Out of all my horror short stories, “The Crimson Ring” is one of the darkest. I actually scared myself while writing it. No joke.
Marah’s deepest fear is her ruby ring breaking, since the gem isn’t actually a ruby, but a clear crystal filled with blood. Her blood. Due to the Sanguine family curse, Marah will bleed to death if the crystal cracks, so she has done all she could to keep the ring safe. But when the Diamondback, an infamous jewel thief, arrives in Dusk Grove in search of Marah’s supposedly rare ruby ring and breaks into her mansion, Marah must protect the cursed ring, because if she doesn’t, she’ll meet her bloody fate.
Super dark, right?
Not sure where my mind was at when I came up with this idea for my story, but there you go.
My Acceptance
When I received my acceptance, I literally flipped out. The anthology got 159 submissions, so being in this book is such an honor.

Also, I may or may not have teared up when I found out that “The Crimson Ring” is the first story in the anthology.
Opening My Copy of Stolen
The anthology was published on October 25, and my copy arrived in the mail a few days later. You can watch the video of me opening the book on YouTube here.
I loved getting to hold this book in my hands.

Huge thank you to Ellen and Robert for giving “The Crimson Ring” a home in Stolen. The anthology officially has a spot on my bookshelf.
And finally, I want to end with a warning. Next time you see a ruby ring, beware. You might actually be looking at a cursed ring filled with blood.
