“Find Love” and More Fabulous Memories – August 2021 Wrap

August was such a fabulous month. Along with releasing “Find Love,” I have so many memories to look back on.

The Release of “Find Love”

“Find Love,” the second single off of my album, Dear Diary, released on August 20. I’m so glad this entry from my musical diary is out. You can download and stream it on all major platforms here.

To celebrate the release of “Find Love,” I shared a writing process video. This song truly had a journey, and I had a great time breaking down the writing process.

Also, I filmed a very special live version of “Find Love” on piano.

“Find Love” is a piece of my heart, and I can’t wait for you to hear the rest of the story when Dear Diary releases October 15.

The “Find Love” Fun

First, I exclusively dropped “Find Love” on the Nashville Show on Heart of Indie Radio. I adore my team at Heart of Indie Radio, and I’m so blessed I got to celebrate my new single with them on August 14, the weekend before “Find Love” was released.

Along with the exclusive drop of “Find Love,” I did an interview for the show. I put together this blog post to remember the special night.

Next, I did livestreams to celebrate “Find Love.” The first one was for the SW20 Country Music Show ahead of its release. Then, on release day, I did a livestream for Crazy Women Country. I had so much fun playing “Find Love” and some more of my favorite songs. I put together a highlights video from both the SW20 Country Music Show and Crazy Women Country livestreams.

The Sunday after release, Linda from Voice of A Woman invited me to do an Instagram live. Linda has been so supportive of me and my music, and she’s become a dear friend. I loved getting to catch up with her. I played “Find Love,” “Will I Ever,” and a sneak peek of “Across the Pond,” my thank you song for the UK. Also, Linda and I talked about my music, podcast, and so much more. It was such a fun time, and I hope I can chat with Linda again soon.

I’m so grateful for everyone who celebrated “Find Love with me!”

The August Interviews and Features

First, I did an interview for COOL TOP20 about “Find Love.” I share why the lyrics are special to me, the significance of “Find Love” being an acoustic-pop song with a country flavor, and the writing process. You can read the interview here.

Also, as I mentioned, I did an interview for the Nashville Show on Heart of Indie Radio. I talk about “Find Love,” Dear Diary, my upcoming original country Christmas song, “Snow on Christmas Day,” Write on Track, and more. You can listen to the interview on Spotify and all other podcast platforms.

Next, I did an interview for Bring Country 2 UK about “Find Love.” I really enjoyed chatting with Kellie about the song. I share what it means to me, details about the writing and recording process, why I went for an acoustic vibe that blends pop and country, and so much more. I really opened up in this interview, and you can read it here.

Also, I’m so grateful my friends at Belles & Gals featured “Find Love.” I joined the team a few months ago, so it’s special to see their support. You can check out the feature here.

I have so many interviews coming over the next few months for Dear Diary. I love doing interviews, so I’m really looking forward to all of them.

My August Studio Session

Studio days are literally my favorite days. I got to go back to my second home on August 4 for another ten-hour session. The amount of music I got done in this session blows my mind.

During the session, I finished recording “Snow on Christmas Day” and my cover of “Homecoming Queen” by Kelsea Ballerini. I also started working on new music. Check out this blog post to read about all the highlights from the session.

My Dear Diary Photo Shoot

I seriously can’t believe my album is almost here. October 15 is right around the corner. I had a photo shoot at Keystone State Park, and I’m so beyond excited to share these shots.

I love doing photo shoots, and this was a special one. I’m really looking forward to having new photos to share for Dear Diary.

The Platinum Mentoring Program with the Songwriting Academy

In August, I officially started my year-long program with the Songwriting Academy as a Platinum Elite student. I’ve already learned so much in just one month. I’ve met so many amazing songwriters, and I really enjoyed all the weekly master classes so far. Also, my one-on-one mentoring sessions with the hit songwriters have been so helpful and enlightening. Every single one of the mentors has a heart of gold, and I’m so lucky I get to learn from all of them. Along with the mentoring sessions, I get to submit songs for feedback, too. I’m always working on my craft, so I can be the best songwriter I can be. Hearing the mentors’ feedback and suggestions has already made me a better writer. I’m looking forward to what the rest of my time in the program has to offer.

All the Airplay

I’m continuing to receive so much love on radio stations and shows. I would love to give a special thank you to the stations and shows that supported me in August, including Heart of Indie Radio, Unsigned with Paul Miles, Steve Garnett’s New Music Radio Show and the New Music Radio Top 40 on Revival Radio, the SW20 Country Music Show on SW20 Radio, the Indie Fusion Show on Belter Radio, Jess T on CountryRadio.UK, and Simply Country on Ridge Radio.

I’m so grateful to all my friends at radio for showing my music so much love. I’ll never get over how special it is to hear my music played on the radio.

Wow, August really was an amazing month. I love doing these monthly wraps because they’re a great way for me to take time out of my busy schedule to reflect on everything that happened. August was definitely a wild month, and I’m grateful for every opportunity presented to me. Here’s to more memories coming in September!
