My First Year as a Published Author in Anthologies
Wow, I can’t believe I’ve been a published author for a whole year!
On August 6, 2024, I celebrated my first anthology publication with Clio’s Curious Dash Through Time. Since then, I’ve had quite the adventure.

I’m excited to take a trip down memory lane and share my anthology accomplishments from the past year.
Twelve Anthology Publications
I celebrated twelve anthology publications. That’s bananas.
First, ten of my own short stories got published.
1. “The Scribe from the Lost City” in Clio’s Curious Dash Through Time by Wild Ink Publishing
2. “Revenge At Ravenwood” in GORE 4 (Demons): A Halloween Anthology by Poe Boy Publishing
3. “Age of the Vocaprompter” in UnCensored Ink: A Banned Book Inspired Anthology by Wild Ink Publishing
4. “Rosalia” in HORRORific Tales Volume 1: Hauntings by HORRORific Productions
5. “Glitter Bows and Music Notes” in A Winter Kiss by Dragon Soul Press
6. “The Garden of Terrors” in Infernal Delights by Dragon Soul Press
7. “A Pinch of Cinnamon and Lore” in Dragon Flight by Dragon Soul Press
8. “Dabria’s Shadows” in Enchanted Tales & Twisted Lore: Fairy Tales, Folklore, and Fables Reimagined – Volume 1 by Cabbit Crossing Publishing
9. “Where Lava Flows” in HORRORific Tales Volume 2: Cryptids by HORRORific Publishing
10. “Out of the Oven” in Wickedness & Wonder: A Fairy Tale Anthology by Wild Ink Publishing
Next, “A Wood of Gold and Shadows,” one of my co-authored stories under the pen name, Sadie Lielle, got published in Dragon Flight by Dragon Soul Press and reprinted in A Sparkle of Woodland Magic by West Avenue Publishing.
And finally, I was the lead editor for Prom Perfect by Wild Ink Publishing.
So, over the past year, I got to experience anthology publications as a solo author, co-author, and editor. All of these books have special memories attached to them, and I’m so grateful they’re on my bookshelf.

Seven More Acceptances
On top of my publications, I received seven acceptances for anthologies that aren’t out yet.
Five of these stories are my own.
1. “The Amber Opal” in GORE 5 (Curses): A Halloween Anthology by Poe Boy Publishing
2. “Strokes of Time” in The Devil You Know by Dragon Soul Press
3. “A Vow of Ice and Sapphires” in Seasons of Romantasy: Winter by Quill & Flame Publishing House
4. “Holly Berry” in KissMet Quarterly’s holiday anthology
5. “Fae D’Angelo’s Notes of Wisdom” in Tread Lightly, Speak Gently by Wild Ink Publishing
The other two are under Sadie Lielle.
1. “A Slice of Fire and Apples” in Seasons of Romantasy: Autumn by Quill & Flame Publishing House
2. “A Lily’s Verse,” a poem, in Tread Lightly, Speak Gently by Wild Ink Publishing
I’m looking forward to these publications during the rest of 2025 and into 2026.
The Butterfly Anthology of My Heart
I’m honored to be the anthologist and an editor for Kaleidoscopic Quill. This is the butterfly anthology of my heart, and I can’t wait for the book to come out next spring through Wild Ink Publishing.

My Love for Writing Short Stories
Finally, I want to finish by saying I have truly discovered my love for writing short stories. Over the past year, I’ve written a ton, explored new genres, grew as an author, and consistently worked on stories that brought me so much joy. I love stumbling upon new anthology submission calls that spark my imagination because getting to create art and share it with others is the greatest gift.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to my friends, critique partners, and beta readers for supporting me on my author journey, thank you to the editors and publishers who gave my stories forever homes, and thank you to the readers who made my stories part of their lives.

My first year as a published author may have come to an end, but as the Anthology Queen, I’m just getting started. Let the reign continue!
