Festivities, Fun, and Fabulous Gifts – December 2024 Wrap
2024 has come to an end, but not before allowing me to experience such a fabulous December. From winning a music award and celebrating anthology publications to Christmas music magic, I’m delighted to share the highlights.
“Winter Cold” Won Best Christmas Jazz Song at the Holiday Music and Film Awards
On Christmas Day, I found out that “Winter Cold” won Best Christmas Jazz Song at the 3rd Annual Holiday Music and Film Awards.
“Winter Cold” is my first Christmas song to win an award. I seriously still can’t believe this. Finding out I won was the most amazing gift ever. Since I was unable to attend the awards in Jacksonville on December 14, I had no idea I won until the winners list was posted on the website on Christmas Day.
Winning this award is a dream come true. I can’t thank the whole HMFAs team enough for making my Christmas extra special this year.
The Studio Vlog for “Meet Me At Christmas Time”
Since “Meet Me At Christmas Time” is one of my favorite original Christmas songs, I had to film while recording this one. I hope you enjoy watching the studio vlog. I had a total blast during the session.
My Acoustic Mashup of “Candy Cane” and “Meet Me At Christmas Time”
Since I released both “Candy Cane” and “Meet Me At Christmas Time” this year, I filmed a festive acoustic mashup by the tree. I had a lot of fun recording this, so I hope you enjoy watching it.
My Interview on the One Life Music and Podcast Channel
In December, I returned to the One Life Music and Podcast Channel for a super fun interview in support of Make-A-Wish. Along with chatting about my Christmas music and more, I played a game of Christmas twenty questions. I had an absolute blast, and you can watch the interview here. I can’t thank AJ enough for having me back on the show.
Heart of Indie Radio Christmas Festivities
I love being involved with all the fun with Heart of Indie Radio during the holidays. This year, I wrote a poem about what Christmas means to me for the magazine, shared my acoustic mashup for Indie Christmas, and produced and co-hosted Christmas Blessings on Christmas Day and Countdown to Midnight on New Year’s Eve. I had a lot of fun being part of all these events.
Donating an Adorable Peppermint Candy Toy
Giving back is so important to me, so I’ve made it a tradition to donate a toy during the holiday season. This year, I chose a super cute peppermint candy. It warms my heart to know a special child got this adorable plushy on Christmas morning.
The Publication of HORRORific Tales Volume 1: Hauntings and A Winter Kiss
In December, I celebrated the publication of two anthologies, HORRORific Tales Volume 1: Hauntings by HORRORific Productions and A Winter Kiss by Dragon Soul Press. My stories are “Rosalia,” a new adult supernatural thriller, and “Glitter Bows and Music Notes,” a new adult Christmas romance. This was seriously the best way to end my first year writing short stories for anthologies.
I wrote blog posts for both books, so you can read all about HORRORific Tales Volume 1: Hauntings here and A Winter Kiss here. Both include sneak peeks into my stories, unboxing videos, photos, and more behind-the-scenes details.
I never expected to end 2024 with five anthology publications. This is only the beginning, though. I’m looking forward to many more anthologies to come.
More Anthology News
This month, I submitted my young adult cozy fantasy story to a charity anthology. This is one of my favorite stories I have written, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for an acceptance. After writing stories all year, I can’t believe this was my last one of 2024.
I already have a list of anthologies I want to submit to in 2025. The first story I’m going to write in January will be a young adult locked room mystery. I’m manifesting more acceptances and publications in 2025.
Finishing the First Draft of my Young Adult Locked Room Thriller
By some miracle, I finished the first draft of my young adult locked room thriller right before midnight on New Year’s Eve. I’m still not sure how exactly I pulled this off. I love this book so much, and I can’t wait to revise it in 2025.
It’s wild to think that I now have five completed manuscripts. I really hope all these books will be published someday.
And that’s a wrap on my 2024. This year was beyond good to me, and I feel so blessed for all the memories and golden moments. I’m ready to flip the page to 2025!
