A Kaleidoscope of Spring Memories – March 2026 Wrap

Wow, March was such an incredible month. From releasing “If Your Heart Eclipses Mine” and celebrating the publication of Kaleidoscopic Quill to RevPit, reading lots of books, and more, I’m excited to share my highlights from the first month of spring.

Releasing “If Your Heart Eclipses Mine”

On March 3, during a total lunar eclipse, I released “If Your Heart Eclipses Mine.” This piano ballad is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written, and I couldn’t be happier that it’s finally out in the world.

“If Your Heart Eclipses Mine” is such a special song to me, so I hope my Butterflies love it as much as I do.

Now that both “You Can Call Me Cinderella Now” and “If Your Heart Eclipses Mine” are out, my fairy-tale inspired EP, Happy Ever After Doesn’t Last Forever, is next. I seriously can’t wait to release the full project soon.

“Four Leaf Clover” in Micromance Magazine

On St. Patrick’s Day, Micromance Magazine published the lyrics and Spotify link for “Four Leaf Clover.” I released this song four years ago and never thought something like this would happen. It’s so cool when my music and publishing journeys cross paths in unexpected ways.

You can find the lyrics and song in Micromance Magazine here. Huge thank you to Gail and Katie for featuring “Four Leaf Clover” on St. Patrick’s Day this year.

Kaleidoscopic Quill Is Finally Out

I can’t believe that the butterfly anthology of my heart and soul, Kaleidoscopic Quill, came out on March 24.

Thank you so much to Andie, Abby, and all the authors and poets for being part of this anthology. Working on this book for over a year was a wonderful experience. Now, people all around the world can read this special collection of butterfly-themed poems and stories.

A few weeks ago, I received my proof, but I had to film myself opening my official copy on publication day. You can watch the video on YouTube.

I can’t wait to watch Kaleidoscopic Quill soar!

Three More Anthology Publications

On top of Kaleidoscopic Quill, three of my short stories got published in anthologies at the end of the month.

First, my young adult romantasy, “A Sealed Promise,” is out in Saltwater and Ash by Micromance Magazine.

Second, my young adult spring meet-cute, “Two Bloomed Hearts,” is out in Tiptoe Through The Tulips With Me by KissMet Quarterly.

And Third, my young adult folk horror Little Red Riding Hood reimagining, “The Dark Side of the Wolf Moon,” is out in Curse of the Sword by Dragon Soul Press.

I can’t wait to receive all my paperbacks. Once I do, I’ll film unboxing videos, take photos, and write blog posts.

More March Anthology News

Along with celebrating all my publications, I have a lot more March anthology news.

First, I can finally share that my new adult strawberry dark romantasy, “A Fate So Sweet and Red,” found a home in Sensual Magic, a spicy romantasy anthology by Page Turn Press. Staying quiet about this was so hard, but I’m glad I can shout about it all I want now. This is an invitation-only anthology, and when I got invited to submit a story in December, I felt beyond honored. “A Fate So Sweet and Red” went through several rewrites since I originally drafted it last summer, and I absolutely adore the final version. Publication day for the anthology is set for May 1, not far away. I can’t wait for romantasy readers to immerse themselves into the pages of Carmine and Frazier’s folkloric love story.

Also, fun fact, “A Fate So Sweet and Red” takes place in March during the total lunar eclipse, so I love that I got to share the news this month. The eclipse was on March 3, the day I released “If Your Heart Eclipses Mine.” So, obviously, that’s officially Carmine and Frazier’s theme song. All of this was written in the stars, if you ask me.

On top of getting to share this news, I received two more anthology acceptances, bringing my total to twenty-seven.

First, I couldn’t be more delighted that my young adult cozy fantasy mystery, “A Case of Feathers and Dreams,” will be published in The Ordinary Magic in Extraordinary Tales, a cozy fantasy anthology by Hollow Oak Press. This story has my whole heart, so I seriously can’t wait for readers to be immersed into my imaginative world and meet Chimere, her best friend, Dakotah, and her pet crow, Onyx, who is actually the main character.

Second, I’m thrilled my young adult folk horror, “The Legend of Lake Laryss,” got accepted for Perigean Tide, a water-themed anthology by Wild Ink Publishing. This is an original folktale featuring an ancient willow grove, moon lore, and lyrical prose. I loved writing this one, so I’m delighted it found a home.

This month, I also submitted my young adult fantasy, “A Diamond Reign,” for the Mental Health and Magic anthology by Fable House Press. I loved rewriting this story and can’t wait to receive feedback and send my final version in April. The whole process for this anthology has been super collaborative, and I love that.

Recently, I’ve received acceptances from publishers I hadn’t worked with before, and I’m beyond grateful for all the new industry connections I’m making and for my work to reach new readers when these books come out.

As if all of this wasn’t enough, I sent out fresh submissions in March.

During the first official weekend of spring, I submitted three pieces that previously received passes, my flower dark fantasy, mirror folk horror, and music prose poem. I’m determined to find them homes, so my fingers are crossed for good news over the next few months.

March was a marvelous month of anthology publications, acceptances, and submissions. I’m grateful for every opportunity and can’t wait to see what’s next for me in the anthology world.

The 2026 RevPit Annual Contest

The 2026 RevPit annual contest is in full swing.

RevPit 2026 Editor Badge

So far, I did my meet the editor and ask editor sessions, obsessively watched the submissions roll in during the submission window, dove headfirst into my spreadsheet, read fabulous books, and narrowed my list to my finalists. Right now, the other editors and I are sharing our shortlists and making decisions. Early April, I’ll choose my winner and runner-up, then start editing my winner’s manuscript. I’ll do my two 10 Queries sessions in April as well.

I’ve had tons of fun during the contest so far, and I can’t wait to work with my lucky winner soon.

Three Guest Appearances

In March, I had three guest appearances that I’m so excited to share.

First, my interview with Bold Journey Magazine got posted. I talked about keeping my creativity alive, my top three qualities for success, how I avoid getting overwhelmed with all I do, and more. You can read the interview here.

Second, my interview for Voyage Pennsylvania Magazine got published. I talked about my journeys in music and publishing, overcoming challenges, my favorite childhood memory, and more. You can read the interview here.

And third, I presented for the Writer’s Workout Conference for the second year in a row. This year, I talked about retellings, reimaginings, and original lore, and you can watch the video on YouTube.

Huge thank you to Bold Journey Magazine, Voyage Pennsylvania Magazine, and the Writer’s Workout for having me.

My New Young Adult Dark Academia Thriller

In March, I committed to another book idea, my young adult dark academia thriller. I’m very early in the process, so I’m looking forward to developing the story further. Since my young adult gothic thriller is the next book I’m going to draft, I won’t get to the dark academia one for a long time. Still, I’m having fun working on a new shiny idea that will become a finished book someday.

My March Reads

This year, I’ve been reading a ton. These are the books I read in March.

The Fear by Natasha Preston.

The Lost by Natasha Preston.

Unhallowed Halls by Lili Wilkinson.

They’re Watching You by Chelsea Ichaso.

I’ll Pretend You’re Mine by Tashie Bhuiyan.

I loved all of these books so much.

That’s a wrap on my busy and fun March. I can’t wait to spring into April and see what’s waiting for me among the blooming flowers and fluttering butterflies.
