A Peek Into “Glitter Bows and Music Notes”

I actually wrote this story last year. When I saw the call for A Winter Kiss, I decided to get some feedback and revise the story before submitting it. I even changed the title, too. Since I prefer darker fiction, romance is out of my comfort zone. I’m glad I gave this genre a shot, though. Writing “Glitter Bows and Music Notes” was a lot of fun, and I’m so glad it found a home in this anthology.

“Glitter Bows and Music Notes” follows country music songwriter, Ivy, as she returns home for the holidays to perform in the town’s Christmas concert after spending her first semester of college in Nashville. Since she is only there as a last resort to fill in for another musician who dropped out, Ivy’s spirits aren’t high. To make matters worse, She has to perform a Christmas love song she wrote about her hometown crush, Gabriel, while he’s in the audience, every songwriter’s nightmare. Luckily, she doesn’t embarrass herself. After her performance, Ivy finds a charm bracelet in her guitar case, the same one she spotted in a shop window before the concert. Believing Gabriel left the secret gift, Ivy rushes to the ice rink where he’s working to discover the truth. Will her lyrics become reality this Christmas? You’ll have to read the story to find out.

Opening My Copy of A Winter Kiss on Christmas Day

My copy arrived on Christmas Eve. Despite wanting to open it right away, I decided to wait until the next morning. Receiving this anthology was a wonderful gift. I hope you enjoy my festive video.
