“Winter Cold” Wins Best Christmas Jazz Song at the 3rd Annual Holiday Music and Film Awards

It Feels like Christmas in February because I finally received my award from winning Best Christmas Jazz Song at the 3rd Annual Holiday Music and Film Awards for “Winter Cold.”

The Most Special Christmas Surprise

The awards were held in Jacksonville, Florida on December 14. I was sadly unable to attend, so I had no idea if I won in either of my categories, Best Christmas Pop Song for “Tinsel Heart” and Best Christmas Jazz Song for “Winter Cold.”

On Christmas Day, the winners list got posted to the website. When I found out “Winter Cold” won Best Christmas Jazz Song, I seriously couldn’t believe it. This was the best Christmas gift ever. Two months later, I’m still so blessed and grateful.

Recording “Winter Cold” was such a blast. I wrote all about the session here. For a glimpse into the fun and festive day, watch the studio vlog.

Receiving My Award

My award came in the mail on February 15. Words can’t describe how excited I felt when I finally got to hold it in my hands.

Since I wasn’t able to give an acceptance speech at the awards show, I wanted to film one by my piano.

Thank you so much to the Holiday Music and Film Awards for choosing “Winter Cold” as the Best Christmas Jazz Song last year. I love my award so much, and I can’t wait to write more Christmas music.
